| The Raptor is the world's best and largest
inverted outside-looping roller coaster,
like the Batman ride at Six Flags Great America. You may wonder how I created this close-up video of Rick and me actually on the ride. This is a new feature offered by Cedar Point on the Raptor only, you can now buy an overpriced DVD with a record of your ride. Most rides already offer to sell you an overpriced snapshot of yourself. I've included this 2 and a half minute film for your pleasure and my public humiliation. I had a great time on the ride (four or five times) despite the pain it seems I'm in while riding. We spent two consecutive days at the park but I had to pass on this ride toward the end because my back started to hurt In 2007, Cedar Point was rated "Best Amusement Park In The World" by Amusement Today for the 10th consecutive year, and "America's Favorite Amusement Park" by Theme Parks Magazine. Coasters" from Theme Parks Magazine poll for the third consecutive year. It also was named one of the two "Best Steel Roller Coasters" in National Amusement Park Historical Association. The other coaster in that pair is Cedar Point's Magnum coaster. |
